Megan Gale
Gale has won a modeling contest in Perth aged 18. Gale won a modeling contest in Perth at the age of 18. Following a number of years in the business, Gale became famous when she was chosen to star in an advertisement for Omnitel which is an Italian telecoms business (now Vodafone Italy). They used her in advertisements from 2006 onwards, and was retained in 2003 by the Australian Tourist Commission as the "face of Australia for Italy.' Gale has appeared on the cover of Australian Marie Claire, Grazia, Gioia, Italian and Australian GQ, Italian Maxim, Australian InStyle and featured in editorials for Australian Cosmopolitan as well as Vogue Italia. Gale has been a model for Italian designers, such as Gianfranco Fere, Genny as well as Gai Mattiolo and has been at the shows of Mariella Burani Angelo Marani, and Milan Fashion Week. Gale is also a fan of many Australian designers including Colette Dinnigan, Kirrily Johnsonston Lisa Ho and Alex Perry. She was also one of the fashion experts for the Logies the Logies, which is an Australian television show. In January of 2008, Gale announced her retirement of runway fashion after fifteen years. She also walked down the catwalk for her last time a few weeks later, during the David Jones winter collection launch in Sydney. The model wore the Wonder Woman costume she had planned to wear for her role in the Justice League of America film that was developing. Gale closed Alex Perry's Melbourne Fashion Festival 2011 show on March 11, 2011.
